The team behind the tower, Tobu Tower Sky Tree Co. Ltd. announced this update to improve convenience and boost customer satisfaction for people heading up to the views.
Say Hello to Direct Smartphone Entry

From April, if you buy your ticket online, you can skip the paper exchange altogether. Previously, web ticket holders needed to stop by the ticket counter to swap their digital QR code for a physical ticket before heading up. Under the new system, you’ll simply tap your smartphone QR code at the gate and go — easy and speedy!

To match this direct entry system, the admission area on the 4th floor is getting a smart layout update. The main entrance will stay open throughout the day, letting visitors move more freely, and the ticket counter is getting a fresh spot that makes getting in even clearer and quicker.
A Little Extra Fun Before You Head Up

Before stepping into the high-speed elevator, the “Tembo Shuttle” — guests can enjoy a new projection show on the wall featuring lovely scenes of Tokyo, fun facts about the tower, and even animations of the official character Sorakara-chan. It’s a nice way to build excitement before the views at the top!
Ticketing Gets More Flexible
Good news for planners: tickets will soon be available up to three months in advance, so you can lock in your visit early and skip the last-minute rush.
