All Nippon Airways (ANA) has announced an exciting new collaboration with The Pokémon Company to celebrate the Pokémon’s 30th Anniversary. As part of the project, the airline will introduce three specially themed aircraft, bringing the beloved world of Pokémon to the skies in 2026.

The initiative celebrates a major milestone for the global franchise, which first launched with the games Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green on February 27, 1996. Interestingly, 2026 is also a special year for ANA as it marks the 40th anniversary of the airline’s international flights, making the collaboration a double celebration.
Three New Pokémon Jets Taking Flight

The highlight of the project is the introduction of three new “Pokémon Jet” aircraft, each inspired by the classic game colors Red, Green, and Blue that defined the early Pokémon series. These planes will be gradually introduced throughout 2026.
The upcoming aircraft include:

-
Pokémon Jet Red – A Boeing 787-8 scheduled to operate mainly on domestic routes in Japan.
-
Pokémon Jet Green – A Boeing 787-9 designed for international flights.
-
Pokémon Jet Blue – A Boeing 737-800 that will also serve domestic routes.
While the final exterior designs are still being kept under wraps, the themed aircraft are expected to showcase colorful Pokémon artwork across the fuselage, turning ordinary flights into a fun experience for fans. Full design details and flight schedules are expected to be revealed around May 2026.
Continuing a Long-Running Pokémon Aviation Tradition

ANA’s relationship with Pokémon goes back decades. The airline launched the world’s first Pokémon Jet in 1998, decorating aircraft with characters from the franchise to delight passengers and promote travel.
Today, the airline continues the tradition through its “Pokémon Air Adventures” project, which already features themed aircraft such as the Pikachu Jet NH and Eevee Jet NH. The new jets will join this lineup, further expanding the Pokémon-themed flying experience.
Bringing Pokémon Fans on an Adventure in the Sky

With the launch of these three special aircraft, ANA hopes to deliver a joyful travel experience that connects people and communities around the world—all while celebrating one of the most beloved entertainment franchises of all time.
As Pokémon enters its 30th anniversary year, fans may soon find themselves boarding a flight where the journey feels just as magical as the destination.
