Preparation Before Sending Your Luggage in Japan
Before sending your luggage through Yamato Transport at a convenience store, there are several important things to keep in mind.
First, make sure the convenience store you visit provides Yamato Transport services. This is usually indicated by a special logo or flag displayed at the store.

Second, confirm that luggage delivery services are available at the location. For luggage shipping, the service typically used is TA-Q-BIN, with the following conditions:
- Maximum total dimensions (length + width + height): 200 cm
- Maximum weight: 30 kg
There are also special delivery services available:
- Airport TA-Q-BIN → Direct delivery to the airport
- Round Trip TA-Q-BIN → Delivery to accommodations such as hotels or inns
Lastly, check the delivery fees in advance. TA-Q-BIN rates and delivery times vary depending on the service type, package size, and destination, and can be calculated easily online.
How to Send Luggage in Japan via Convenience Stores
Once everything is ready, simply bring your luggage to the nearest convenience store. No reservation is required.
At the store, the staff will ask you to fill out a Waybill.
A Waybill is a shipping document containing delivery details such as the sender’s and recipient’s names, addresses, contact information, and package contents.

The type of waybill and how to fill it out may vary depending on the service and delivery method. The example above is a waybill used for domestic deliveries within Japan.
You can fill out the waybill in English if you do not speak Japanese.
Note:
If you make a mistake when writing the address or other information, cross it out with two lines and write the correct information beside it. Corrected waybills are still accepted.

Since waybills use carbon copy sheets, do not use correction tape or similar products. If there is not enough space to make corrections, use a new waybill instead.
The waybill will then be attached to your luggage before shipping.
Next, pay the required delivery fee. If you send two or more suitcases to the same destination through a convenience store, you may receive a ¥100 discount for each suitcase.
Finally, hand your luggage to the store staff, and it will be processed for delivery.
