Tokyo is about to level up its spring event calendar. The Mundo Pixar Experience, billed as the world’s largest immersive Pixar exhibition, is finally making its Japan debut this March — and yes, it’s every bit as colorful and oversized as you’re imagining.

After touring major cities abroad, the exhibition is landing in Tokyo for the very first time, inviting visitors to step directly into the animated worlds many of us grew up watching (and rewatching).

Step Inside Your Favorite Pixar Worlds

This isn’t a “look but don’t touch” kind of exhibition. It’s a fully walk-through experience featuring massive, meticulously recreated sets inspired by beloved Pixar films.

Expect to shrink down inside Andy’s bedroom from Toy Story, wander through the vibrant underwater world of Finding Nemo, step onto the laugh floor at Monsters, Inc., and snap photos alongside more than 20 life-sized Pixar characters — all in one larger-than-life immersive experience that makes you feel like you’ve walked straight into the screen.

Everything is designed to make you feel like you’ve crossed the screen and into the story. It’s immersive in the literal sense, so clear your phone storage now.

A Must-Visit for Families and Film Fans

Whether you’re bringing kids, planning a quirky date, or just indulging your inner animation nerd, this exhibition fits neatly into a spring Tokyo itinerary. Toyosu’s waterfront setting also makes it easy to pair with shopping, dining, or a scenic stroll after you’ve had your Pixar fix.

It’s playful, nostalgic, and just theatrical enough to feel special without being overwhelming. In other words, ideal for visitors looking for something beyond the usual museum circuit.

Advance tickets go on sale from 10:00am on February 20, 2026. Tickets will be available via the official TBS Ticket website and Ticket Pia. The exhibition officially opens on March 20 (Fri, public holiday), so be sure to secure your spot early and don’t miss this limited-time opportunity to step into the world of Pixar.
